Job Summary
Nurse Manager (RN Manager) Billings, Montana. The organization is seeking a Nurse Manager to manage and supervise nursing departments to support excellent patient care, departmental structure and processes, and outcome standards. This role includes day-to-day tactical leadership, operational management, and strategic goal alignment, with responsibilities focused on staff competency, patient safety, and collaborative decision-making. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: MondayFriday 07001700 (with some flexibility), 8 shift hours, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers; current Nursing License to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice; bachelors degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified); valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment; two (2) years of clinical experience; leadership/supervisory experience; demonstrated leadership, communication, problem-solving, financial acumen, clinical knowledge, resource management, patient safety, mentorship, and community outreach.
- Preferred Qualifications: Specialty Certification.
- Additional Information:
- Leads departmental operations and clinical nursing environment oversight, including strategic planning contributions and standards of care.
- Manages budgets and employee performance evaluations, supports employee engagement, recruitment, retention, and competency verification.
- Coordinates performance and compliance with patient safety initiatives and applicable federal, state, and other regulatory bodies, including accrediting and certifying organizations relevant to the unit.
- Evaluates staff competency through performance reviews and peer reviews, and supports ongoing skill training and annual competency verification as delegated.
- Uses service metrics and national benchmarks to improve patient satisfaction and implements action plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborates with physicians at the unit level to support clinical, operational, and service goals.
- Supports the Nurse Director in overseeing, organizing, and facilitating activities of student nurses as applicable.
- Provides leadership that promotes professionalism, employee engagement, and integration of Healing Commitments and Healing Connections within patient care.
