Description
Job Summary: Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Registered Nurse (MS ONC) Denver, Colorado. The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards defined by the state Board of Nursing. The role assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, collects and evaluates patient health data, and documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift with 12 hours per shift; 36.0 minimum hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association); ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; skills in nursing care, health assessment, health teaching, health counseling, and therapy and treatment planning.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree of Nursing; previous experience as a Registered Nurse; certification as appropriate for unit or service; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as appropriate for unit or service.
- Additional Information: May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need. May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift. Executes delegated medical functions, refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment, reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans, and uses resources as needed.
