Description

Job Summary
Medical-Surgical Oncology Floor (MS ONC) Santa Rosa, CA. The organization is seeking an Oncology RN for an outpatient oncology clinic supporting infusion services and related procedures. The role includes administering chemotherapy, managing ports and implanted/central lines, and monitoring patients receiving infusion therapies. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days; shift time includes 7:45 AM4:15 PM, 8:00 AM4:30 PM, 8:30 AM5:00 PM, or 9:30 AM6:00 PM; minimum hours per week: 40
  • Required Qualifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) or Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification; Chemo (ONS/ONCC); familiarity with administration of chemotherapy (including continuous infusion and oral administration), monitoring chemotherapy, administration of blood and blood products, care and management of ports, central line/implanted line care; ability to manage clinical scenarios including Acute Tumor Lysis Syndrome (ATLS), anaphylaxis, extravasation injury, hemorrhage, sepsis, spinal cord compression, neutropenic precautions, and related symptoms; experience with Epic (preferred stated below is separate); minimum 1 year of previous oncology or infusion outpatient experience required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Epic experience preferred; familiarity with Alaris infusion pumps and CADD ambulatory pumps
  • Additional Information: This position performs 6 infusions plus 12 port draws daily in an oncology clinic setting. Call is not required. Float may be required between facilities within the state as part of scheduling.
