Job Summary
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Registered Nurse (MS REHAB) Napa, California
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Registered Nurse to provide acute inpatient rehabilitation care for adult and geriatric patients. The role includes delivering patient-focused treatment and supporting therapy participation, with coverage that may extend to weekend requirements. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift; 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Weekend requirement: every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications: California state license (in hand); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; experience in inpatient rehabilitation (acute inpatient rehab/acute rehab hospital) and patient care activities; charting system experience with Epic; previous patient ratio experience; prior experience includes care related to stroke and neurological conditions and other listed inpatient rehabilitation skills; license and required documentation must be included at submission (SSN, DOB, and RTO).

- Additional Information:
- Float may be required to Medical Surgical Rehabilitation (MS) and orthopedics, and candidates may float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby.
- Call is required depending on patient census.
- Patients participate in 3 hours of therapy daily, with a combination of PT, OT, and SLP depending on rehab diagnosis.
- Willingness to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) is required.
- Return staff policy: return as traveler within 3 months (per staffing requirements).
- Submission includes 2 references covering the last year (with exceptions for CNA references) provided during the compliance process and prior to start.
