Job Summary: Telemetry (TELE) Registered Nurse (RN) West Allis, Wisconsin
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Telemetry provides care for a variety of Medical-Surgical patients during night shifts, supporting continuous monitoring and timely clinical interventions. This role requires demonstrated Med/Surg competency, including specified skills such as tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and medication infusions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 2 years of RN Med/Surg experience; ability to complete required orientation/learning for unit processes.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Float: Float may be required to any M/S unit assignment based on House Supervisor direction.
• Additional Information:
  • Telemetry monitoring responsibilities, with central monitoring supported by telemetry technology.
  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend.
  • No call responsibilities.
  • Holiday expectations: every other major holiday.
  • Schedule cycle: 6 weeks.
  • Start/end shift times: 19000700.
  • Skills and clinical support include general Med/Surg care with abilities such as tracheostomy care, chest tubes, reading/interpreting cardiac rhythm strips, and management of Lasix infusions, insulin infusions, heparin infusions, and wound vacs.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is required (EPIC).
  • Scrub color: any solid color with no logos.
  • Orientation duration: 1 shift.
