Description

Job Summary:

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Nights (Saint Louis, MO). The organization is seeking an RN for Labor & Delivery to provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and immediate postpartum patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to work independently, and experience managing both routine and high-risk obstetric patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 7:00 pm7:30 am; 3 (or 4) x 12 shifts; minimum 36 hours per week; rotating weekend requirements
  • Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; Emergency Fetal Monitoring (EFM) training; Electronic fetal monitoring (Int AWHONN FHM preferred) (as applicable to the required certification set); minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery/Labor & Birth experience in an acute care hospital setting; demonstrated ability to independently manage laboring patients, including high-risk obstetric cases; strong skills in fetal monitoring and interpretation, labor support and coaching, medication administration and IV therapy, and obstetric emergencies/rapid response; experience working in a team-based high-acuity environment; excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills; ability to adapt quickly to new workflows, policies, and electronic medical records
  • Preferred Qualifications: Two years of current inpatient, acute care hospital experience
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Flu vaccination is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; exemptions must be client approved.
