Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Wausau, Wisconsin. This role is for a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) Registered Nurse providing specialized care for post-operative hearts, acute myocardial infarction (AMI), cardiogenic shock, and related critical care needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (19000730) with a minimum of 36 hours per week; weekend/holiday coverage includes every 23 weekends and every other holiday.
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Associate Degree or Certificate; minimum of 2 years with cardiac experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: CCRN preferred; Bachelors Degree; Epic charting experience preferred.
• Responsibilities: Provide care in a 12-bed CICU supporting post-operative hearts, AMI, cardiogenic shock, induced hypothermia, and related critical care needs; manage frequent cardioversions and assist with lines placed and discontinued in the unit; demonstrate competency with Swans and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP); support hemodynamic and critical care workflows including continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and Impella support; maintain resilience, manage change effectively, and work independently while completing tasks timely.
• Float: Float rotation may be required across inpatient units as needed, typically within a critical care and acute care cluster.
• Additional Information: Picking up call is permitted but not required, with a response time of 1 hour if call is picked up. The unit may experience low census, including potential low-census hours in hour increments (e.g., 4 or 8 hours). GSA hours are not guaranteed during the week of orientation.
