Description

Job Summary: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Nights (Monroe, North Carolina)
The organization is seeking an RN to provide Labor & Delivery/Postpartum care, including support for LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) patient workflows and related newborn care activities. This role supports the units clinical needs across LDRP care and postpartum services. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift (7:00 PM7:00 AM), with a schedule cycle of every 6 weeks; weekend rotation every other; minimum hours per week: 36.0; travelers will work 75% of holidays.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
    • Minimum of 2 years of LDRP experience
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with circulating cesarean sections
    • Experience with newborn care, including heel sticks, 24-hour testing, and NAS scoring
    • Experience providing lactation support
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit includes LDRP (18-bed unit), OB triage (5), and OB ORs (2), with 4065 deliveries per month
    • Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines; CNA coverage is 1 per shift
    • Role responsibilities include all aspects of LDRP patient care, circulating c-sections, and newborn care tasks (including heel sticks, 24-hour testing, and NAS scoring), as well as lactation support
    • Floating may be required within the region and scope of practice, including the ability to float to other listed facilities if agreeable
    • Orientation includes 2 days of departmental orientation (NEO)
