Description

Job Summary:
An ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Round Rock, Texas. This is a contract assignment requiring candidates to bring their license on the first day. The role involves night shift work with rotating weekends, and the assignment lasts for 13 weeks. It offers an opportunity to work in a specialized critical care environment with advanced equipment and procedures.

Job Details:

  • Location: Round Rock, Texas
  • Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night Shift) with rotating weekends
  • Schedule: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIH (National Institutes of Health) certification, critical care experience, and Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Trauma credentials such as TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), CATN, TCAR, and post-operative cardiac surgery experience.
  • Responsibilities: Performing critical care procedures including rapid sequence intubation, CABG and valve replacements, thrombectomies, EVD insertions, SLED/TABLO, MTP, cardioversion, IABP/Impella support, TNK administration, vasopressors, and IV sedation.
  • Additional Information: The unit is equipped with advanced medical devices such as IABP, Impella, Ventiator, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, SLED/TABLO machines, Belmont rapid infuser, EVD, nitric oxide, Hemisphere EMR. The team values driven individuals willing to learn, adapt, and work as part of a team, with a focus on patient safety. The dress code requires navy scrubs.
  • Unit Profile: 22 beds, 60 staff members, specialized invasive and critical care equipment, with a nurse to patient ratio typically of 1:2, sometimes 1:1.
  • Positions Available: 1 or 2
