Description
Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse Nights (Nashville, Tennessee). The position provides critical nursing care within an NVICU setting, supporting patients with complex medical needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week; minimum weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per schedule; schedule is completed in 4-week increments; self-scheduling to an extent; manager may adjust shifts to balance the schedule.
- Required Qualifications: Active RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); ICU experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Additional Information: Procedures performed may include insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions. Unit equipment may include ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000. Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members. Floating policy: contract labor is first to float; if staffing needs are in medical/surgical, contract labor may be expected to float to medical/surgical and take the assignment.
