Description
Job Summary: Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Registered Nurse in Wausau, Wisconsin. The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to support an inpatient rehabilitation unit providing care for patients requiring rehabilitation services. This role includes working 12-hour night shifts on an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift (12 hours), every other weekend and holiday rotation; minimum hours per week: 48.
- Required Qualifications: Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC); Associate Degree or Certificate; experience required in an inpatient hospital setting; at least some Medical Surgical Rehabilitation (or Medical Surgical) background appropriate for inpatient rehab care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree; Epic charting experience.
- Additional Information: Inpatient rehabilitation unit; 12 beds; patient ratio typically ranges from 1:41:6 (day) and 1:8 (nights). Primary cases include stroke, trauma, debility, amputation, and cardiac. Candidates should be resilient, able to manage change, and demonstrate a social approach to teamwork and patient care.
