Job Summary: Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) Lubbock, Texas
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Lubbock, Texas, supporting a Level II Trauma Center in a short-term acute care environment. This role involves providing direct perioperative nursing care across multiple service lines, including trauma and specialty surgical areas. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift (12-hour shifts) with weekend coverage required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday); minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS); Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Certification in nurse perioperative (CNOR); at least 2 years of previous charge experience; Epic charting system experience required; valid compact license must be in hand at submission; trauma Level II experience required; travel experience required; at least 1 year of experience required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience.
  • Weekend / Specialty Requirements: Weekend RN must have orthopedic, neurology, general, robotic (XI/DV5) surgery, and trauma experience.
  • Orientation: Orientation hours: 12.
  • Patient Ratio Experience: Experience working with a 1:1 patient ratio is required.
  • Pre-Start/Annual Training (Modules): Modules are non-billable; average 16 hours spent. Over 20 hours requires approval. Modules are completed pre-start and annually, and time spent on modules is self-reported with completion recorded in Workramp transcripts.
  • Submission / Compliance Requirements: Submission requires Tier 3 travel compliance components (SSN, DOB, and RTO) and confirmation of required references. Candidates must include a response to whether they have previously worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, on a travel contract, or as registry/per-diem (including location and dates, if applicable). Two references are required covering 1 year (with special reference timing for CNA roles, if applicable); references must be within the last 3 years during the compliance process and prior to start.
