Intermediate Care RN (IMCU) Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin

An Intermediate Care Registered Nurse role is available in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, supporting a Med Surg Intermediate Care Unit that provides care for a variety of patient conditions. Responsibilities include delivering patient care on a fast-paced, tele-monitored unit while managing patient tasks independently and completing them timely. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM7:15 PM and 6:45 PM7:15 AM, with shift rotation every week or every two weeks. Every other weekend (weekends are FriSun), with every other holiday.
• Required Qualifications: WI RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Associate Degree or Certificate; 2+ years experience Stepdown/Intermediate Care/PCU.
• Preferred Qualifications: At least one completed travel contract.
• Additional Information:
  • Med Surg Intermediate Care Unit includes a tele-monitored environment and an 8-bed unit.
  • Patient populations may include stable, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy care, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke.
  • Primary patients may include insulin drip management; patient ratio is 4:1.
  • Epic experience is required.
  • Float may be required to other inpatient units as needed, including potential travel to other south region locations if needed.
  • Scrub color is flexible (any color accepted).
  • Flu season masking requirements apply to travelers who decline influenza and COVID vaccination, with no exceptions listed. Failure to adhere may result in corrective action.
