Job Summary: Surgical Technician/Operating Room (OR) Tech Lawton, Oklahoma
A Certified Surgical Tech supports the surgical team by assisting in the delivery of patient care before, during, and after surgery, under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile field, supporting patient safety through correct site procedures and count processes, and maintaining a clean and sanitary operating room environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evenings, 8 shift hours, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Start Date: 07/06/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certification and licensure/certification current as applicable to the role; completion of departmental orientation (training) and annual inservice education for age-specific training; maintains current competencies and certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Age-specific training competencies maintained through departmental orientation and annual inservice education.
• Additional Information:
  • Participates in age-specific care and interactions, using skills learned during departmental orientation and annual inservice education.
  • Supports patient safety by ensuring correct site/procedure, correct counts, fire safety checks, and that all equipment and supplies are available and ready prior to procedures.
  • Maintains a sterile atmosphere by opening instruments and supplies per established procedures and setting up and maintaining the sterile field during procedures.
  • Performs accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts, cleans operating rooms according to established procedures, and practices safe passing of instruments and sharps to and from the surgeon/field to reduce the risk of incident or exposure.
