Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nursing Jackson, Michigan. The role provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. Using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, the nurse provides, delegates, supervises, and documents care and patient/family teaching, while effectively communicating pertinent information to the healthcare team and supporting solutions for variances from patient goals. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 11.5 shift hours, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Analytical abilities, including the ability to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two or more years of neonatal nursing experience
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Additional Information:
  • Special Care Nursery position
