Description

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves caring for adult patients with various diagnoses in a fast-paced, high-throughput unit. Candidates are required to bring their professional license on the first day of orientation.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification, minimum 0 years of experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
  • Float: Will float within scope to meet facility needs as required.
  • Additional Information: Prior experience in telemetry, neuro stepdown, PCU, or similar units preferred. Clinical skills include interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac and neurological patients, use of telemetric monitoring, and procedures such as IV therapy, cardiac drips, and ventilator care. The unit is a Level I trauma center with a high patient throughput, caring for adult patients with various complex diagnoses. Orientation involves 24 hours of training, and candidates must complete required modules prior to starting.
