Job Summary: Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) Ironwood, Michigan
A Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room supports surgical services by circulating cases across pre-operative, procedure, and post-procedure settings. The role requires strong circulating experience and coordination of care throughout the perioperative process, including on-call coverage. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days; 410 hour shifts with variable start times (normally 07:0017:30, with potential earlier start times of 06:30 or later start times of 08:00 or 09:00), with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Responsibilities:
  • Circulate cases across pre-op, PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit), endoscopy, and operating room settings
  • Provide on-call coverage 12 times per week from the end of shift to 07:00 the next day
  • Manage cases during on-call periods from surgical admission through unit discharge
  • Support occasional weekend call Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through 07:00 on Monday
• Required Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Michigan
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA))
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
  • Associate Degree or Certificate (Required Education); ADN or BSN
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience, with strong circulating experience and pre/post-op experience required
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) experience
• Additional Information:
  • Float: Float rotation may be required. Candidates may be expected to work in pre-op, PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit), endoscopy, and circulate cases.
  • On-call/Weekend/Holiday details: No holiday shifts, but holiday call is required
  • Unit/setting notes: 3 ORs and 1 endoscopy room
  • Case types supported include: orthopedics (including total knee, hip, shoulder, ORIFs, hip fractures, and I&Ds), general surgery (including lap appendectomy, lap cholecystectomy, lap hernia procedures, EGD/colonoscopy, lesion removals, lumpectomy, and hemorrhoidectomy), OB/GYN (including hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, and lap salpingectomy), eyes (including cataract removal), and podiatry (including bunionectomy)
