Job Summary:
This medical surgical registered nurse (RN) position is located in Iron River, Michigan. The role involves providing general nursing care primarily for geriatric patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and diabetes. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Iron River, MI
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Start Date: 07/06/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with start dates as soon as possible
• Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holiday
• Certifications and Education: Current Michigan RN license; Associate Degree or Certificate required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of medical surgical nursing required; ED experience preferred but not required; ICU experience not required
• Skills: Strong charting experience with Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis medication system
• System Knowledge: Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, Pyxis
• Additional Information: Candidates with both medical surgical and emergency department experience are highly preferred. Travelers capable of working across multiple departments are ideal, though medical surgical-only candidates will be fully considered. Scrub color: any colored scrubs.
• Float Requirements: Float to Emergency Department within competency required
• Unit Information: 25-bed medical surgical unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 during day shifts and 1:6 at night
