Description

Job Summary: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse Nights in Augusta, Georgia. The role supports the delivery of safe, high-quality, compassionate patient care within a Progressive Care Unit setting. Candidates must arrive with their license on the first day and be prepared to complete required submission packet certifications.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift; 12 hours per shift with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Active Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • License required; must be brought on the first day
    • Required certifications must be included in the submission packet
  • Preferred Qualifications: None stated.
  • Additional Information:
    • Patient monitoring includes vital signs every 4 hours (may be more frequent based on patient condition) and blood glucose checks as ordered.
    • Required documentation/assessment is completed every shift.
    • Cardiac drip and insulin drip familiarity is required.
    • Unit staff float to areas of their competencies.
    • Dress code: royal blue scrubs; no artificial/gel nails.
    • Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, bladder scan, and a vein finder.
    • Documentation system: Meditech.
    • Unit staffing includes unit secretaries and tech support.
