Description
Job Summary
Portland, Oregon Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT). The organization is seeking an OR Certified Operating Room Technician to assist with surgical procedures across a variety of specialties, including orthopedic and neuro cases. Candidates must be able to scrub a range of acute care operating room procedures and support rotating weekday and weekend coverage. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift; 10 hours per shift; minimum 40 hours per week. Weekend standby is required, including rotating weekday and weekend coverage.
- Required Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- NBSTSAS NBSTSAS certification
- Ability to scrub acute care operating room procedures, including total joints and revisions, neuro, robotics, gynecology, and urology
- Prior experience requirements as stated: 2 years experience
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Charting system experience with Epic
- Community hospital experience
- Additional Information:
- Expected ratios: 1:1
- Weekend coverage: call coverage is required and includes a rotating weekend standby schedule (details provided in the job description)
- Call coverage: on-call is required as outlined in the job description (rotating weekday and weekends)
- Special procedures: able to scrub orthopedic and neuro procedures; must meet required neuro and ortho skill checklist expectations
- Candidates may be expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
- Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly unless an agreed-upon interview has been communicated through the account process
