Job Summary
Richland, Washington Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT). The organization is seeking an OR Certified Operating Room Technician to support ambulatory and general surgical services in a multi-specialty setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days, shift length may be a mix of 8-hour and 10-hour shifts; minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • NBSTSA (NBSTSA) certification
    • Previous charting system experience (charting system name: any)
    • Previous charge experience (1.5 years)
    • Patient ratio experience (1:1)
    • Valid Washington (WA) or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
    • Valid allied license in hand (required; clarification may be requested if unsure)
    • Ability to float within the facility
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Community hospital experience
  • Additional Information:
    • Multi-specialty unit responsibilities include general, GYN, and ENT (peds/adults), colorectal, IR, plastics, and podiatry
    • Expected ratio: 1:1
    • Travel experience required
    • Interdisciplinary support is available, including interpretation services and unit secretary
    • Equipment areas may include, but are not limited to, fire safety, aseptic technique, laser safety, radiation safety, sharps safety, specimen handling/labeling, sterilization/disinfection, and Universal Protocol (time out) procedure
    • Submission compliance requirements include: tier 3 travel compliance documents due Monday prior to start; last four of SSN/RT O must be listed at time of submittal (post-submission RTO will not be approved); all RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-submittal/offer RTO may not be considered or granted; inflexibility beyond the contracted schedule and/or RTO may lead to termination of contract and system DNR; max of one job per submittal; response required regarding prior experience at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, on a travel contract, or as registry/per-diem (if applicable, include location and dates worked); include detailed interview availability in the body of the submittal message, including time zones and multiple time options
    • References required: 2 references covering 1 year of experience (6 months for CNA s) within the last 3 years during the compliance process and prior to start (charge RNs/lead references may be included)
    • No call-in requirements are indicated
    • Module expectations: modules are non-billable, average 16 hours spent; over 20 hours requires PM approval; modules are completed pre-start and annually; completion is recorded in Workramp transcripts; time spent on modules is self-reported
