Job Summary: Certified Operating Room Tech (Surgical Technologist) Portland, Oregon
The organization is seeking a Certified Operating Room Tech to support surgical services in a short term acute care setting. The role involves scrubbing a wide variety of acute care operating room procedures, including orthopedic and neuro cases, with specific skill requirements. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days; 8-hour shifts; minimum 40 hours per week. Weekends are required (rotating standby).
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of surgical technologist experience; Basic Life Support (BLS); NBSTS (NBSTSA); ability to scrub a variety of acute care operating room procedures (including total joints and revisions, neuro, robotic procedures, gynecology, and urology); able to scrub orthopedic and neuro cases and meet the required neuro/ortho skills checklist expectations.
- Preferred Qualifications: Charting system experience; Epic experience.
- Additional Information: PSVMC call is required per facility scheduling notes, including one weeknight call shift (22300700) every 4 weeks and one weekend on-call rotation every 6 weeks. Weekend call consists of 3 to 4 call shifts from 2230 Friday through 0700 Monday, with call shifts broken into 9-hour segments and a 30-minute response time with time for handover. Weekend rotations include rotating standby. Float may occur within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
