Description
Job Summary:
The position of Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor and Delivery (L&D) Department is located in Seattle, Washington. This role involves providing high-quality obstetric care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment supporting high-risk deliveries, postpartum, and antepartum patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The schedule is nights, with a minimum requirement of 48 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP; 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in high acuity and high pace environments; current supervisory references; proof of required certifications; experience with EMR systems (Epic); minimum of 0 years of experience (no minimum experience requirement specified in the job order); located in Seattle, WA
- Preferred Qualifications: High risk obstetric experience, 5 years of high-risk experience preferred; experience in neonatal resuscitation, high-volume labor and delivery units, and postpartum care
- Float: Float to sister facilities supporting Mother/Baby units may be required
- Additional Information: Candidates must have proficiency in neonatal care, including NB assessments, eye care, and vitamin K injections. Must be able to circulate during delivery, assist with high-risk deliveries, and deliver postpartum and newborn care. Candidates must pass clinical review and provide current supervisory references and proof of certifications.
- Certifications and Skills: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP; skills include assist with vaginal and high-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, use of external fetal monitoring, and other obstetric procedures.
