Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU Neuro) position located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized neurocritical care on a 12-hour night shift in a dedicated neuro unit. The position emphasizes neuro assessments, bedside ICU procedures, and patient management for neurovascular and neurosurgical patients.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Experience: WI Registered Nurse (RN) License, BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC), NIHSS certification, Associate Degree or Certificate, and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; 1 travel assignment preferred.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, guaranteed 36 hours per week.
• Float: Float rotation may be required between neuro and other ICU units, as well as inpatient units, with flexibility to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift during low census periods.
• Additional Information: The unit is an 8-bed neuro unit serving patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, head injury, and neurosurgery. Experience with neuro assessments, ICP monitoring, bolt and drain placements is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate strong assessment skills and the ability to manage independently. During flu season, travelers declining vaccination are required to wear masks at all times, in compliance with organizational policies.
