Job Summary
New York, NY Clinical Nurse (MS Ambulatory / Ambulatory Care Medical Surgical Skilled): The clinical nurse provides safe, competent, quality care to a designated group of patients and supports patients caregivers through the nursing process. Responsibilities include assessing patient care needs, collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and evaluate the plan of care, prioritizing patient care activities, and supporting patient transition planning after hospital care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 7.5 hours per shift, with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, working Days (9am5pm), 5 days a week (MF).
  • Required Qualifications: NYS RN License; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred) or Associate Degree in Nursing considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program; Operating room/med-surg experience is required (2 years operating room/med surg experience stated); Minimum 2 years registered nurse (RN) experience; Travel nursing experience is required for travel positions (not required for per diem positions).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Electronic documentation experience with Epic (EPIC) is highly preferred.
  • Additional Information: Performs charge nurse duties as assigned; coordinates with clinical leadership to ensure appropriate supply utilization and sufficient inventory for patient care; escalates material or staffing resource deficits as needed; documents nursing practice in compliance with applicable hospital, regulatory, and legal requirements and standards of care; facilitates patient throughput on a shift basis; demonstrates professional development through continued advancement of clinical competence and participation in shared decision-making and unit initiatives.
