Description
Job Summary: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Elko, Nevada
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for Acute Care Services, supporting a patient population that includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Responsibilities center on delivering nursing care across medicine, surgery, telemetry, and pediatrics, with clinical focus areas such as COPD, CHF, pre/post cath lab care, orthopedic and general surgery, and acute respiratory failure. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days (12hr) minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; Education: Associates or bachelors in nursing; Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Minimum Experience: 0+ years
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Med/Surg and telemetry
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: ACLS and PALS are required; there is a 60-day window to receive Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and a 90-day window to receive Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) after the start date. Fit testing is offered on-site to travelers. Acute Care Services includes 23 beds and typical staffing ratios of 1:5. Common call requirements are as per contract.
