Medical Surgical With Telemetry (MS TELE) Nurse in San Marcos, Texas
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide routine and complex patient care in an Acute Med/Surg unit with telemetry responsibilities. The role includes independently applying the nursing process, addressing patients evolving psychological and emotional needs, and coordinating care through appropriate delegation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: 7AM7PM (12-hour shifts); minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred); Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association (AHA) only); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (American Heart Association (AHA) only); Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or compact
• Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty
• Additional Information: Provides nursing care consistent with the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation) for assigned patients; administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocols and monitors for side effects and effectiveness; documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided; assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources; makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to help manage the clinical situation
