Description

Job Summary: Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) Nights (Colorado Springs, CO). This position supports acute care within an Operating Room unit specializing in Trauma and Neuro cases at Trauma Level 2. Candidates are expected to provide safe, competent patient care and are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights; block scheduling shifts of 0630-1900 or 0900-2130 or 2100-0700, with minimum 40 hours per week and 10 shift hours.
  • Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association (AHA)); RN license (license to submit is required); minimum 2 years of experience in Trauma and Neuro (trauma and neuro experience required).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience.
  • Additional Information:
    • Scrubbing required for RN roles.
    • Skills/experience focus: Trauma and Neuro experience.
    • Common case types include General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics.
    • Charting system: EPIC.
    • Call requirements: approximately 120 hours per contract in rotation with staff; call response time 30 minutes.
    • Weekend/holiday expectations: call rotation applies; depending on contract, 4th of July is preferred.
    • Floating may be required only if there is an extreme need; potential floating areas may include PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STMC.
    • Unit/dept orientation: provided.
    • Cancellation policy: the facility can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, and 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks.
    • Submission requirements: profile review with MedSol Clinical; interview with the unit manager; required documentation (DL) must be submitted; clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation even if first-day modules are remote.
