Job Summary:
The location in Templeton, California, is seeking a Surgical Technician specializing in Operating Room technology to support obstetrics-related procedures during night shifts. The position involves assisting in patient care during labor, delivery, and recovery, as well as surgical scrub duties and operating room support. The role requires providing support before, during, and after surgeries, with a focus on patient safety and operational efficiency. This position is represented by SEIU.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: High School Education/GED or equivalent; Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy.
• Preferred Qualifications: Associates/Technical Degree or equivalent related experience; Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification.
• Essential Functions: Assists in preparation of patient rooms, opens sterile supplies, and sets up for procedures utilizing aseptic technique with integrity checks on sterile packaging. Supports surgical team during operative procedures by providing supplies and instruments timely. Participates in protocol timeouts. Assists nursing staff with deliveries as directed, including patient preparation, positioning, transport, and discharge. Collects urinalysis specimens, records maternal vital signs, weight, height, and I&O measurements. Provides patient personal care and assists with daily activities. Prepares, positions, transports, transfers, and discharges patients. Performs any additional duties as assigned.
