Job Summary: Pre-Op Registered Nurse (Pre Op) Wichita, KS
The organization is seeking Pre-Op Registered Nurses for Rapid Response coverage in a Pre-Op Holding environment with Phase 2 recovery support. The role includes preparing for and assisting with surgical and procedural workflows while providing patient care during pre-op and post-procedure recovery periods. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

Schedule: Day shift; 12 shift hours; minimum 48 hours per week
Required Qualifications:
- Licensure: Current RN license (license required on the first day)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Education: Not specified
- Experience: Minimum 1-year current acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience
- Location: Wichita, KS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some pre-op experience, or ability to help pre-op staff
- Prior Meditech experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide Phase 2 recoveries of Urology, GYN, and other Same Day Surgery (SDS) patients
- Support pre-op surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, electrophysiology (EP), computed tomography (CT) patient workflows, outpatient infusions, outpatient electrocardiograms (EKGs), blocks, and blood transfusions
Certifications/Submission Requirements: BLS and ACLS must be included in the submission packet
On-Call: On-call is required with a 30-minute response time when on-call
