Job Summary:
This Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Danville, Virginia. The role involves providing high-quality emergency care within a busy hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position necessitates a minimum of five years of experience in the emergency department.

Job Details:

• Location: Danville, VA
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, weekly guaranteed hours of 36, with rotating weekends and as-needed coverage
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Handle with Care (available on-site), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC); 5+ years of experience in Emergency Department; candidates must have a valid Virginia nursing license and at least 5 years of Emergency Department experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Extensive Emergency Room experience in fast-paced environments.
• Float: As Needed.
• Additional Information: The department serves all ages and features 31 beds with 2 triage rooms, including behavioral health and acute patients. Patient ratios are approximately 1:4, with some exceptions during high-volume days. The Electronic Health Records system includes Primarily MedHost (ED) and Meditech.
