Job Summary:
A Clinical Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Cardiovascular in New York, NY. The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care based on nursing theory and evidence-based practices. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. This position offers a rotating shift schedule, and the team provides comprehensive care to cardiac patients with a focus on safety, safety, and quality improvement.

  • Required Qualifications: Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program. Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Candidates must have at least 2 years of current medical/surgical experience with telemetry or ICU care and be proficient in assessment, intervention, patient care management, and teaching.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Outpatient/cardiac procedure experience is highly preferred and should be specified on the resume.
  • Schedule: 9AM-5PM shifts; no weekends; 37.5 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The position entails performing charge nurse duties, coordinating with management for supplies and staffing, contributing to quality and safety practices, and engaging in professional development activities such as evidence-based practice, peer review, and quality improvement projects. Candidates should have experience with electronic documentation systems, EKG skills, and demonstrate critical thinking, communication, relationship-centered care, and ethical decision-making.
