Description

Job Summary:
The cardiac catheterization laboratory (CCL) registered nurse position is located in San Francisco, California. This role requires candidates to bring their California Registered Nurse (RN) license on the first day. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in Cardiac Cath/Interventional Cardiology, with demonstrated expertise in Structural Heart and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR). The position involves working a 12-hour day shift, and the successful candidate will provide specialized nursing care within the cardiac cath lab environment.

Job Details:

  • Location: San Francisco, California
  • Shift: 12-hour days with a schedule minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); California RN License required
  • Experience: 5+ years in Cardiac Cath/Interventional Cardiology, with experience in Structural Heart procedures and TAVR; teaching hospital experience required
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, BSN degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, certification in BLS and ACLS, experience with Epic electronic medical record system, ability to float to other UCSF facilities, and references in hand at submission
  • Additional Information: Must have completed references prior to submission; travel experience required; vaccinations including COVID-19 vaccine plus booster are required, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons
  • Responsibilities: Administering medications and contrast, assisting with central line insertions, monitoring and troubleshooting cardiac devices, performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, managing patient sedation, and adhering to strict infection control policies
