Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room (OR) team located in Wausau, Wisconsin. The position involves delivering specialized surgical nursing care within a busy OR setting. Candidates must bring their Wisconsin RN license on the first day. This role is scheduled for day shifts, with a start date of July 20, 2026, and a contract duration of 13 weeks.

Job Details:

• Location: Wausau, WI
• Position: OR (Operating Room)
• Shift: 8-hour variable shifts, including a mix of 0700-1530, 0900-1730, and 1100-1930 shifts
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Start Date: 07/20/2026
• Required Qualifications: WI RN License, AHA BLS, ACLS Certifications, Associate Degree or Certificate, Bachelor's Degree preferred, minimum 5+ years OR experience with at least 1 travel assignment, experience in a larger facility with comparable ORs of 20, required circulating experience, Da Vinci robotic experience required, trauma level II experience required, minimum 0 years of experience, must have their own vehicle and cannot rely on Uber/Lyft due to on-call responsibilities.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic EMR, General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, GI, and other specialties as a bonus.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to Aspirus Merrill, Aspirus Langlade, Aspirus Medford, and Aspirus Stanley if needed.
• Additional Information:
  • Must be flexible, resilient, and adaptable to change.
  • Perform downtime tasks if necessary.
  • Scrub colors can be any color.
  • The position is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, during which travelers may be put on call; callback will have pay.
  • During flu season, declining vaccination requires wearing a mask at all times, per Aspirus policy.
  • Vaccinations: Flu and COVID required.
