Description

Job Summary:
The emergency room (ER) registered nurse (RN) position is located in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing critical emergency care to a diverse patient population, including both adult and pediatric patients. Candidates are required to bring their valid California RN license on the first day. The position requires 2 years of recent ER experience, 3 years of charge nurse experience, and current certifications. The shift schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekend rotation and no on-call duties.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 3 x 12 nights; 1900-0730, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: California RN licensure, BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, 2 years of ER experience, 3 years of charge nurse experience, proficiency with Epic EMR system, current certifications with valid expiration dates, and two references obtained within the last year
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in ER with trauma level certification, and strong skills in managing complex emergency scenarios listed in the skills section
  • Float: Float rotation may be required, including assignments to medical-surgical or telemetry units when not utilized in the ER
  • Additional Information: The nurse will provide care for patients with a wide range of diagnoses including trauma, stroke, cardiac issues, and pediatric emergencies. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, safe medication administration, patient advocacy, and teamwork. All onboarding and compliance documents must be completed within 10 days prior to the start date, including labs, work history verification, and certifications.
