Job Summary:
This opportunity is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) in Jasper, Indiana. The position involves working on an adult medical-surgical unit with a focus on providing safe, high-quality patient care. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment. The role requires a highly adaptable nurse with strong clinical judgment and the ability to manage high-acuity environments.

Job Details:

• Location: Jasper, IN
• Shift: 12-hour days, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
• Schedule: 36 hours guaranteed per week, contract length of 13 weeks, start date ASAP
• Required Qualifications: Indiana Nursing License, BLS certification, Associate Degree or Certificate, minimum of 2 years med/surg experience, charting experience (Epic preferred)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Epic EMR, resilient and social candidates with strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Float: Potential to float between med-surg-like departments
• Additional Information: No local candidates (40-mile radius rule). On-call requirements vary; holiday work may be required. Certification documentation (BLS, Indiana License) must be attached upon submission.
• Responsibilities: Deliver safe and efficient patient care, demonstrating strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, and adaptability. Maintain professionalism in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Shift Notes: 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The unit has 29 beds, focusing on adult med/surg conditions such as pneumonia, heart failure, stroke/TIA, infections, and wounds.
