Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit nurse position available in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical conditions requiring post-operative recovery and complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring. The position offers opportunities to float to various units and hospitals within the organization, with an emphasis on patient-centered care in a secure and supportive environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift with 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a compact license, associated degree in nursing, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross certification, National Institute of Health (NIH) certification, minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Intensive Care Unit specialty
- Preferred Qualifications: AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if working in pediatric units
- Float: Float rotation may be required to other units or hospitals within the organization
- Additional Information: The role supports cardiac surgical intensive care and stepdown units, with a dedicated cardiovascular educator. Candidates must exhibit high levels of professional competency and flexibility. The position is located at 809 UNIVERSITY BLVD, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35401.
