Job Summary
A Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) located in Fullerton, California, is sought to provide expert maternal care in a high-volume labor unit. The position requires candidates to possess specialized experience performing sterile vaginal examinations independently, along with expertise in obstetrical procedures and neonatal care. Candidates must bring their license on the first day to be considered for this assignment.

Job Details

• Position: Labor and Delivery RN
• Location: Fullerton, California
• Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 07/28/2026
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours/week, including working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Required Qualifications: California license in hand; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP certifications; minimum 1.5 years of recent labor and delivery experience with expert sterile vaginal exam skills; Epic charting system experience; two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years; LA fire card within the last 30 days; ability to work weekends; open to working weekdays and weekends as unit needs demand.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to perform sterile speculum exams independently without supervision, prior experience with high-risk deliveries, familiarity with neonatal procedures, and fluency in obstetrical emergency protocols.
• Additional Information: Must include RTO requests at time of submission; candidates with prior experience at a Providence facility should specify location and dates; candidates should confirm willingness to float within the state; travel experience not required.
• Unit Details: Supports neonates, adolescents, and adults with an average of 6-8 deliveries per day, 13 rooms, and 15 beds.
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP required.
• EMR: Epic charting system experience required.
