Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care in various surgical specialties, including General, Robotics (DaVinci & Mako Orthopedic), Urology, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), Neuro (including cervical fusion and lumbar laminectomy), Plastics (including abdominoplasty and breast augmentation), and Gynecology. The position emphasizes expertise in orthopedic procedures such as total knee replacements and total hip replacements via anterior and posterior approaches. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut
  • Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Nurse (e.g., CNOR), current license in Connecticut, no minimum experience required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in General Surgery, Robotics (DaVinci & Mako Orthopedic), Urology, ENT, Neuro (including cervical fusion and lumbar laminectomy), Plastics (including abdominoplasty and breast augmentation), Gynecology, Orthopedics (including total knee replacements and total hips via anterior and posterior approach)
  • Schedule notes: 40 hours, shift times from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with 30% of shifts from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM, including occasional weekend work. Six weekdays and six weekends calls are scheduled over a six-week work cycle.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: This position involves working in a fast-paced surgical environment requiring expertise across multiple specialties and procedures. Candidates should be adaptable to variable scheduling demands and have a flexible approach to shift coverage.
