Job Summary:
An Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technician (CST) position is available in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This role requires candidates to bring their CST license with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) credential on the first day. The position involves supporting surgical teams in a variety of specialties, including General, Robotics, Urology, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), Neuro, Plastics, and Gynecology (GYN). The ideal candidate will have experience working in the Operating Room environment and be available for a flexible schedule.
Job Details:
- Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut
- Specialty: Operating Room
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including approximately 30% of shifts from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM based on department needs, with occasional weekend work.
- Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with NBSTSA credential, experience in General, Robotics (DaVinci & Mako Orthopedic), Urology, ENT, Neuro (including cervical fusion and lumbar laminectomy), Plastics (including abdominoplasty and breast augmentation), GYN, and orthopedic total joint replacements; no minimum years of experience required; located in Connecticut.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with 30% of shifts being 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM shifts, and occasional weekend work.
- Additional Information: On-call duties require being available for 6 weekdays and 6 weekend calls within a 6-week work schedule.
- Float: Float rotation may not be required.
