Description
Job Summary:
The operating room open heart (OR OH) technician role is based in Anchorage, Alaska, at a prominent healthcare facility. This position involves performing a variety of complex cardiovascular surgical procedures and requires a valid state license or pending license approval. Candidates must bring their license on the first day and possess a minimum of one year of relevant experience. The role is scheduled for 4X10 hour days, starting as soon as possible, with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week.

- Required Qualifications: One year of experience; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), and NBSTS; valid state license or pending license (takes 10-12 weeks); EMR experience with Epic.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Float: No float rotation required.
- Additional Information: Experience with cardiovascular open heart surgical procedures including Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Angioplasty/stenting, Aortobifemoral bypass, and other advanced cardiovascular techniques; familiarity with sterile technique, equipment documentation, and radiation safety; willingness to work two out of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). Candidates must submit SSN, DOB, and RTO information at the time of submission. Only one submission per region is permitted. References covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years are required and must include at least two references. The facility accepts only Hep B vaccines, with no titers or declinations allowed.
