Description
Job Summary:
An Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Largo, Maryland. This role involves providing comprehensive emergency care in a dynamic and fast-paced hospital environment. Candidates are required to bring their Maryland RN license on the first day. The position offers night shifts working three 12-hour nights per week, starting on 07/13/2026.
Job Details:
- Location: Largo, Maryland
- Schedule: 3x12 Nights (19:30-08:00), minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active Maryland RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI, TNCC certifications; 0+ years of experience; travel experience required, but will consider first-time travelers with 5+ years of experience; experience with Epic electronic medical records is required; trauma level II experience is required; trauma level I and community hospital experience are preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, community hospital experience, LTAC experience, trauma level I experience
- Float: Float within scope as needed; candidates must be comfortable floating with no restrictions or special requests
- Additional Information: The role involves managing a broad range of emergency cases, including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric emergencies. The unit supports all age groups, with an average daily census of 140 patients, and utilizes special equipment such as Belmont trauma monitors, Giraffe neonate warmers, Rapid Infuser, and Lucas devices for cardiac arrests.
- Certifications and Licenses: Must have an active Maryland or Compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI, TNCC certifications. Compliance requires submitting documentation within five days prior to start, with labs completed within 72 hours of onboarding.
