Description

Job Summary:
The Sacramento, California-based Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Tech position involves providing specialized care for high-acuity patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role offers a 12-hour shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with required call responsibilities. The position supports the Cath Lab team in performing TAVR, Mitraclip, peripheral vascular, and other advanced cardiac procedures in a tertiary referral center.

Job Details:

  • Position: Cath Lab Tech
  • Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS certification; minimum 2 years of experience; California license; experience in a Cath Lab setting.
  • Shift: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week, with up to every other weekend and call duties.
  • Experience: 0 years minimum experience required (applicant must meet the above qualifications).
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts; 36 hours minimum per week.
  • Additional Information: Radiation badge is required supplied by the agency. Scrubs provided.
  • Responsibilities: Support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures such as TAVR, Mitraclip, and peripheral vascular interventions; manage high-acuity cases in a Chest Pain center and STEMI tertiary referral environment.
  • Special Notes: Up to 4 shift cancellations permitted per 13-week assignment.
  • Charting System: Cerner.
  • Division: Acute.
  • Floor: Specific orientation provided (2 shifts).
  • Patient Types: Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath patients, high acuity.
  • Additional support: Hospitalist/Intensivist available in house, RT and pharmacy available 24/7.
