Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Float Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Bismarck, North Dakota. This role involves providing care across multiple medical-surgical units, with a focus on surgical and medical patients including total joints, fractures, bariatric, urology, CHF, CVA, SOB, and diabetic issues. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires a minimum of two years of clinical experience, with shift hours of 12 hours during nights, every other weekend, and every other holiday.
Job Details:
- Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with minimum hours per week of 36, every other weekend, and every other holiday
- Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Surgical RN; active license to submit; EPIC electronic medical record experience
- Additional Information: Profile review and manager interview required. The RN will work on units equipped with Cpap, BiPap, and high-flow oxygen devices. RNs confirm readings from monitor techs, with a nurse aide ratio of 1:15. Unit/department specific orientation and float checklist are part of onboarding. Candidates must comply with a cancellation policy of four shifts per contract, or three shifts if under 13 weeks.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Special Equipment: Cpap, BiPap, high-flow oxygen devices.
- Patient Population: Surgical patients (total joints, fractures, bariatric, urology, general) and medical patients (CHF, CVA, SOB, diabetic issues).
- Additional Requirements: No RN titration of drips required. On call or standby duties with LDC. Shift notes specify every other shift, nights, and first to float.
