Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurses are sought for a unit located in Garden City, Kansas. The position involves providing specialized in labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care. Candidates will be responsible for managing obstetric patients, circulating in operating rooms, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of orientation. The shift hours are scheduled for days, with an expectation of float requirements across L&D, postpartum, and maternity/baby units.
Job Details:
- Location: Garden City, Kansas
- Shift Hours: 11.5 hours per shift
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 34.5 hours
- Start Date: 07/13/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association, Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Education requirements and minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery. Candidates must hold a valid license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with LDRP, couplet care, circulating in OR, and fetal monitoring.
- Additional Information: The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment; for shorter assignments, up to 3 shifts may be canceled. The charge nurse typically has an assignment. In-house support includes OB/Neonatology and anesthesia 24/7. Fetal monitoring systems used are GE and OBIX. There is a requirement to float between units and the ability to work every other weekend. There is a policy-based call or standby requirement.
- Schedule: Days, every other weekend, floating between units, may be on call up to three times during the contract period.

- Unit Notes: Candidates should be prepared to help with unit-specific duties and adapt to scheduling needs based on current staffing.
