Description

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse located in Porter Ranch, California. This role involves providing specialized care to adult oncology patients in an outpatient setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position is suited for experienced oncology nurses with a minimum of 2-3 years of outpatient oncology experience.

Job Details:

  • Location: Porter Ranch, CA
  • Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday, 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) certifications, 2-3 years of outpatient oncology experience, valid license, and experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Certifications: BLS (AHA), ONC or ONCC for chemotherapy administration
  • Experience: 2-3 years of outpatient oncology experience, with proficiency in managing ports, administering chemotherapy, anticoagulation, and supportive care; experience with adult outpatient oncology patients is preferred
  • Additional Requirements: Travel experience is required; First-timers travelers are not accepted; candidates must be prepared to work within a clinical scope that may include floating if necessary, based on clinic needs
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with at least 40 hours per week
  • Facility & Patient Care Details: The role involves caring for adult patients with various cancer diagnoses, including breast, lung, colorectal, and hematologic malignancies, among others, requiring expertise in chemotherapy, port care, infusion management, and patient education
  • Travel & Submittal Notes: Candidates must have recent outpatient oncology experience and travel experience; submission requires current qualifications and certification documentation, with priority for those with oncology-specific certifications and relevant experience
