Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery in Houston, Texas. This role involves caring for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, utilizing advanced electronic fetal monitoring and other obstetric techniques. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Houston, TX
  • Position Type: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
  • Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 07/20/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification, EMR (Electronic Medical Record) experience with CPN (Centricity) and Meditech systems.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and obstetric procedures such as cesarean sections and fetal surveillance techniques.
  • Additional Information: The unit manages approximately 35 beds with a diverse staffing team including RNs, surgical techs, and charge nurses. The environment features modern equipment such as Hill-Rom birthing beds, GE core metrics FM, and NOVI wireless FM. The unit follows established protocols for Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, hydralazine, and labetalol, with a focus on maternal and neonatal safety.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
