Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in TUSCALOOSA, Alabama. Provides comprehensive emergency medical care in a high-volume facility staffed 24/7. The role involves working in a Level III Trauma Center and Stroke Center, treating diverse patient populations with a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associated degree in nursing; Licenses: Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a Compact license (No Temp Licenses accepted); Certifications: AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) or Red Cross Certifications; 2 years of recent experience in emergency nursing, or 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in emergency or trauma nursing is desirable.
- Additional Information: The position requires willingness to float to other units and hospitals. The role involves working every other weekend, holidays as required, and may involve working 36 or 48 hours per week.
