Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Open Heart procedures in Palo Alto, California. This role involves providing comprehensive, evidence-based perioperative care to patients undergoing cardiac surgeries within an established healthcare organization. The nurse will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure patient safety, and support patient recovery through skilled clinical practices.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (CA-RN) certification; current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred; 1 year of clinical experience in operating room or open heart procedures; ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cardiac surgery or open heart procedures.
- Additional Information: The role requires the ability to quickly assess complex clinical situations, implement appropriate interventions, and respond efficiently to emergencies. The nurse will participate in unit programs and team meetings to promote positive morale and continuous improvement. Clinical skills, technology utilization, and leadership in professional practice are essential for success in this position.
