Description
Job Summary:
This Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse (RN) position is based in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves providing specialized care in a telemetry medical-surgical unit, serving a diverse patient population with cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, substance abuse, and psychiatric diagnoses. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of orientation.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, every other weekend, with additional on-call as needed
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; experience in telemetry medical-surgical units; IV skills; previous employment in similar settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The RN-to-patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights and weekends. PCT-to-patient ratio is 1:10. Candidates must have no previous employment within any Johns Hopkins health system facilities or must have been away for at least one year if previously employed. Verification of prior employment at Johns Hopkins facilities is required before offer.
